Theo Sư về lại núi, Sư ngồi bụng rỗng, không buồn không vui… Con đại bàng xếp cánh đậu xuống nghe kinh. Sư không nói.

Buổi trưa nắng dữ, dịu hẳn ở buổi chiều rồi tắt lịm ở buổi tối. Biển óng ả hắt lên màu trăng bạc. Sư ngồi lặng lẽ, gió xuyên qua khoang bụng rỗng, không buồn không vui…

Con kỳ nhông bò sát mặt đất, chặc lưỡi, so đo chí đại bàng.

Một chiếc lá động, rung bóng. Con kỳ nhông lủi sâu vào khe đá. Ðại bàng giật mình bay lên. Sư ngồi thả bụng rỗng, gió luồng qua khe, không buồn không vui!
