Nam mô a di đa bà giạ, đá tha dà đá giạ, đá địa giạ tha, a di rị đô bà tỳ, a di rị đá tất đam bà tỳ, a di rị đá tỳ ca lan đế, a di rị đá tỳ ca lan đá, già di nị, già già na, chỉ ca đa lệ, ta bà ha . 

QUY Y ĐẢNH LỄ

-Tự quy y Phật – Xin nguyện chúng sanh – Thể theo đạo cả – Phát lòng vô thượng (1 lạy )

-Tự quy y Pháp – Xin nguyện chúng sanh – Thấu rõ kinh tạng – Trí huệ như biển (1 lạy )

-Tự quy y Tăng – Xin nguyện chúng sanh – Thống lý đại chúng – hết thảy không ngại (1 lạy )

Đạo nhiệm mầu đã lan truyền nơi cùng nơi

1-Phật tử quy y Phật, Pháp, Tăng và giữ giới đã phát nguyện

2-Phật tử mở rộng lòng thương, tôn trọng sự sống

3-Phật tử trau giồi trí tuệ, tôn trọng sự thật

4-Phật tử trong sạch từ thể chất đến tinh thần, từ lời nói đến việc làm

5-Phật tử sống hỷ xả để dũng tiến trên đường đạo.

INCENSE OFFERING

The celebrant knelt down holding incense and chanted the incense offering aloud.

 

Vowing to bring my heart of sincere reverence

Sending it forth with the clouds, 

As an offering to all the Buddhas, 

Wonderful Dharmas and Bodhisattvas,

Endless Sravaka assembly, 

As an offering to the three jewels: (B)

I vow to keep my Buddhist faith for my entire life,

and do the Buddha’s work, 

According to its true nature,  

Along with all sentient beings.

Ask the Buddha for support and protection,

My bodhichitta will stay firm and unwavering.

Leave the shore of suffering and source of ignorance,

Quickly turning to the shore of awakening. (B)

 

PRAYING

The celebrant kneels down holding incense in front of forehead  and reads the prayer

 

We, GDPT................, genuinely admire Shakyamuni Buddha's, Amitabha Buddha's, Bodhisattvas', and Sangha's merits and virtues.

By your teachings, we strengthen our Bodhisattvas’ will and passion to assist all sentient beings. May we all be Enlightened.

Today is ______ we, the leaders and members of _________ Vietnamese Buddhist Youth Association recite the mantras to praise the names of the Buddhas, to practice good merit, and pray to the ten directions of the Buddha, dharma,  and Sangha. To compassionately bless us, the disciples', afflictions are eliminated, karma is eliminated. Often in peace, away from suffering and yoke, and at the same time all sentient beings realize unsurpassed perfect enlightenment.(B)

HOMAGE TO THE BUDDHA

The celebrant stands up with folded hands and chants aloud

 

Unsurpassed Dharma king

Unequaled in the three realms,

Teacher of gods and mankind,

Father of the four kinds of sentient beings,

I single-mindedly take refuge,

To extinguish karma of the past, current and future.

To praise and revere the Buddha,

Even after 100,000 kalpas, I will not have stopped.(B)

 

CONTEMPLATION

The celebrant stands up with folded hands and chants aloud

 

The underlying true nature of the Buddhas

And sentient beings is empty, 

The way of sympathy is inconceivable, 

The assembly of Buddhists is like a jeweled net, 

The Buddhas of the ten directions’ bright halo, 

I am present in front of you, 

Bow my head and swear to take refuge.(B)

 

PAY HOMAGE 

The celebrant stands and recites loudly and everyone bows down after each verse

With my mind focused, I pay respect with my respect directed to the end of space, to the infinite Dharma realms of the past, present, and future Buddhas in the ten directions the honored Dharma, the enlightened Sangha, of the Unchanging three Jewels. (B)

I bow respectfully to the Master of the Samsara world, our own teacher Shakyamuni Buddha, to the future coming Maitreya Buddha, to Great Wisdom Manjusri Bodhisattva, to Great Virtue Samantabhadra Bodhisattva to Dharma Protector Bodhisattvas And the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas assembling at Vulture Peak Mountain. I respectfully bow to the Great Love, Great Compassion Amitabha Buddha of the Western Paradise of Pure Bliss, to the Great Compassion Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, to the Great  mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva, to the Great Vow Kshitigarbha Bodhisattva and the Ocean Assembly of Peaceful Bodhisattva. CONFESSION

Everyone kneels down and chants

I respectfully bow to Shakyamuni Buddha, Amida Buddha, all Buddhas in the ten directions, boundless Buddha-Dharmas and the Noble Sangha (B)

I have lived many lives and accumulated heavy karmic obstacles: desire, anger, pride, ignorance while being misguided. Today because of Buddha’s teaching, I realize my mistakes and sincerely repent, (B) 

I vow to avoid wickedness and to act in kindness, I respectfully entreat the Buddhas for their compassionate assistance. May my body be free from illness and my mind free from defilements; may I be at peace and joy each day as I practice the miraculous teachings of the Buddha in order to quickly escape the cycle of birth and death with a bright and clear mind. Enabling me  to see its true nature and develop bright wisdom, and to easily achieve spiritual powers, in order to rescue all of my honored elders, fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, friends, relatives, and may all living beings attain complete Buddhahood.  (B)

The Buddha’s teachings are infinite. 

We vow to master them all. (B)

The Buddha’s Way is unsurpassed. 

We vow to attain it. (B)

THE THREE SELF-REFUGES

Everyone  stands up and chants

 

Taking refuge in the Buddha, may all sentient beings follow the supreme way and develop the Supremely Enlightened Mind. (B) (Everyone performs one prostration)

Taking refuge in the Dharma, may all sentient beings fully understand the Dharma and attain wisdom as deep as the ocean. (B) (Everyone performs one prostration)

Taking refuge in the Sangha, may all sentient beings be united under the Buddha’s path, and may I be unafraid of any obstacles. (B) (Everyone performs one prostration)

 

DEDICATION

May I take my merits and virtues

And dedicate to the benefit of all sentient beings

May we and other living beings

All achieve  Buddhahood.(B)
