While growing from the mud, it finds way to blossom in the air and always unstained.

* Today, on my free time, I captured these images with a wonderful friend,
Chinh Nguyen, in Elk Grove, CA. Lotus has a very significant symbol in
Eastern philosophy. Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh
often reminded us, "No mud, No lotus." While they are growing from the
mud, they find way to blossom in the air and always unstained. It has
many meanings including purity and diligence.
