Cổng được dựng lên để đánh dấu một không gian, đồng thời đánh dấu một hành trình.

Cổng trại TÂM CHÁNH 2026 được thực hiện với hình tượng Tam Quan không phải vì vẻ đẹp kiến trúc, càng không phải để gợi nhắc một hoài niệm thuần túy về ngôi chùa Việt. Ở đây là một lựa chọn mang tính biểu tượng. Bởi với người Việt Nam, đặc biệt là người con Phật Gia Đình Phật Tử, Tam Quan vốn là lối vào một ngôi già lam, đồng thời là cánh cửa bước vào một nền văn hóa, một truyền thống tâm linh và một ký ức cộng đồng đã được gìn giữ qua nhiều thế hệ.

Đối với những người Việt phải rời quê hương sau biến cố lịch sử 1975, ngôi chùa thường là một trong những công trình đầu tiên được dựng lên trước cả những thiết chế văn hóa khác. Sau cổng chùa, tiếng Việt được gìn giữ, lễ nghi được tiếp nối, trẻ em học cách chắp tay lễ Tam Bảo, học đạo hiếu và lớn lên trong màu áo Lam hiền. Bởi vậy, đối với cộng đồng người Việt hải ngoại, Tam Quan không những mở vào sân chùa mà còn mở vào ký ức của quê hương.

Năm 2026 mang trong mình hai cột mốc đặc biệt: 75 năm thống nhất danh xưng Gia Đình Phật Tử Việt Nam (1951–2026) và 50 năm hiện diện của Gia Đình Phật Tử Việt Nam tại Hoa Kỳ (1976–2026).

Bảy mươi lăm năm trước, việc thống nhất danh xưng không đơn thuần chỉ là một quyết định hành chính của tổ chức. Đó là sự hội tụ của nhiều dòng chảy giáo dục Phật giáo trên khắp ba miền đất nước, để từ đó hình thành một lý tưởng chung, một biểu tượng chung và một con đường chung cho tuổi trẻ Phật tử Việt Nam. Một danh xưng được thống nhất là nền tảng để nhiều thế hệ nhận ra nhau, dù ở Huế, Sài Gòn, Đà Nẵng hay hôm nay ở California, Texas, Paris, Sydney hay Toronto.

Nếu 75 năm là câu chuyện về sự thống nhất của một lý tưởng trên quê hương Việt Nam, thì 50 năm tại Hoa Kỳ là câu chuyện của chính lý tưởng ấy tiếp tục bén rễ trên một quê hương mới. Đó là hành trình của những con người phải rời quê hương nhưng quyết không đánh mất quê hương trong tâm thức của mình. Trong hành trang vượt biển năm xưa, Anh Chị của chúng ta không thể mang theo mái chùa, sân đình hay lũy tre làng. Điều có thể mang theo chỉ là ký ức, ngôn ngữ, niềm tin và lời phát nguyện. Rồi từ những hạt giống vô hình ấy, nơi nào có chùa được dựng lên, từng đơn vị Gia Đình Phật Tử được thành lập, từng thế hệ đoàn sinh tiếp tục lớn lên giữa một xã hội hoàn toàn khác biệt.

Vì thế, giữa đất trại California, cổng Tam Quan của Trại Họp Bạn Miền Quảng Đức TÂM CHÁNH 2026 chính là hình ảnh cô đọng của nửa thế kỷ ấy. Được dựng bằng những thanh gỗ mộc mạc và đường nét thô vụn, nhưng tinh thần của nó lại bắt nguồn từ những cổng chùa trên khắp quê hương Việt Nam. Đó là một công trình tạm dựng trong vài ngày, nhưng biểu tượng mang theo đã được xây đắp bằng ký ức của nhiều thế hệ.

Tam Quan, trong ý nghĩa Phật học, còn gợi mở nhiều ý nghĩa sâu xa. Đó có thể là ba cánh cửa Không – Vô tướng – Vô nguyện, ba phương diện của con đường giải thoát. Đó cũng có thể là lời nhắc nhở về Bi – Trí – Dũng, ba phẩm chất làm nên lý tưởng của người Áo Lam. Nhưng dưới góc nhìn của một kỳ trại họp bạn, Tam Quan còn là ba bước chuyển của mỗi lam viên vừa bước ra khỏi cái tôi để bước vào tình huynh đệ. Bước ra khỏi những khác biệt để bước vào tinh thần Lục Hòa, và bước ra khỏi quá khứ của riêng mình để bước vào dòng chảy chung của lịch sử Gia Đình Phật Tử Việt Nam.

Mỗi lam viên khi đi qua cánh cổng hôm nay để vào đất trại, cùng lúc chúng ta đang bước vào một không gian ký ức, nơi có bóng dáng của bao thế hệ tiền bối đã gieo hạt giống đầu tiên cho màu áo Lam. Nơi có công sức của những người đã gìn giữ tổ chức qua chiến tranh, ly hương và bao biến động của thời đại. Nơi có lời nhắc rằng lịch sử không được viết chỉ bằng những sự kiện lớn mà còn bằng những cuối tuần lặng lẽ trở về chùa, những buổi sinh hoạt đều đặn và những lời phát nguyện âm thầm của biết bao Huynh trưởng không nêu danh.

Bấy giờ, cổng Tam Quan của TÂM CHÁNH 2026 không nhằm đưa chúng ta trở về quá khứ. Ở đó giúp chúng ta hiểu vì sao mình có mặt hôm nay và phải đi tiếp về đâu. Đi qua cánh cổng hôm nay, chúng ta không những bước vào một kỳ trại mà bước vào dòng lịch sử bảy mươi lăm năm của Gia Đình Phật Tử Việt Nam. Bước vào hành trình năm mươi năm của Gia Đình Phật Tử Việt Nam tại Hoa Kỳ và, hơn hết, chúng ta nhận ra rằng quê hương vừa là nơi mình sinh ra, mà vừa là những giá trị mình nguyện gìn giữ.

Bởi, quê hương không mang theo như một hành lý. Quê hương hôm nay chỉ có thể được mang theo bằng văn hóa, bằng lý tưởng, bằng ký ức và bằng sự tiếp nối của từng thế hệ.

Cổng Tam Quan của TÂM CHÁNH 2026 được dựng lên chính vì điều đó. Để mỗi anh chị em, khi bước qua cánh cổng này, đều có thể thầm nhắc mình một điều rất giản dị: Chúng ta đi, mang theo quê hương…

In memory of the late Huynh Trưởng Tâm Hòa Ngô Mạnh Thu,
whose weekly Vietnamese-language radio program for the overseas community
bore the title “We Carry Our Homeland with Us.”

A gateway is erected to define a place. It also marks a journey.

The entrance gate of TÂM CHÁNH 2026 adopts the form of a traditional Tam Quan not merely for its architectural beauty, nor simply to evoke nostalgia for the Vietnamese temple. Rather, it is a deliberate symbolic choice. For Vietnamese people—especially those who have grown up in Gia Đình Phật Tử Việt Nam (Vietnamese Buddhist Youth Association)—the Tam Quan is more than the entrance to a Buddhist monastery. It is a threshold into a civilization, a spiritual tradition, and a shared cultural memory preserved across generations.

For the Vietnamese who left their homeland after the watershed of 1975, the Buddhist temple was often among the very first institutions to be established, even before many other cultural organizations. Beyond the temple gate, the Vietnamese language was preserved, religious traditions continued, children learned to bow before the Three Jewels, practiced filial piety, and grew up in the gentle gray shirt of Gia Đình Phật Tử. Thus, for the Vietnamese diaspora, the Tam Quan opens not only into the temple courtyard, but also into the living memory of the homeland itself.

The year 2026 marks two significant milestones: the 75th anniversary of the unification of the name Gia Đình Phật Tử Việt Nam (1951–2026) and the 50th anniversary of Gia Đình Phật Tử Việt Nam in the United States (1976–2026).

Seventy-five years ago, the unification of the Association’s name was far more than an administrative decision. It represented the convergence of diverse streams of Buddhist education throughout Vietnam, giving rise to a common ideal, a shared identity, and a unified path for generations of Vietnamese Buddhist youth. That unified name has enabled countless generations to recognize one another—not only in Huế, Sài Gòn, or Đà Nẵng, but today also in California, Texas, Paris, Sydney, and Toronto.

If the past seventy-five years tell the story of an ideal united in its homeland, then the past fifty years in the United States tell the story of that same ideal taking root in a new land. It is the story of people who left their homeland yet refused to lose it within themselves. Those who crossed the ocean could not carry with them temple roofs, village communal houses, or bamboo hedges. What they carried instead were memory, language, faith, and solemn vows. From those invisible seeds, wherever a temple was established, a Gia Đình Phật Tử unit soon followed, and new generations continued to grow amid a society profoundly different from the one their parents had left behind.

For this reason, the Tam Quan standing at TÂM CHÁNH 2026, in the heart of a campsite in California, becomes a distilled symbol of that half-century journey. Built of simple timber with intentionally unfinished lines, its spirit nevertheless springs from the temple gates that have long stood throughout Vietnam. Though temporary in structure, lasting only a few days, its symbolism has been fashioned from the collective memory of generations.

Within Buddhist thought, the Tam Quan carries profound meanings. It may represent the Three Gates of Liberation—Emptiness (Śūnyatā), Signlessness (Animitta), and Wishlessness (Apraṇihita)—three dimensions of the path toward liberation. It may also remind us of Compassion, Wisdom, and Courage, the three virtues that define the ideals of Gia Đình Phật Tử. Yet, within the context of this reunion camp, the Tam Quan signifies three inner crossings: stepping beyond the self into fraternity; stepping beyond differences into the harmony of the Six Principles of Communal Living (Lục Hòa); and stepping beyond one’s own personal history into the shared historical journey of Gia Đình Phật Tử Việt Nam.

As each participant passes beneath this gate into the campsite, they enter more than a physical space. They enter a landscape of memory, where the presence of earlier generations who first planted the seeds of the Gray Shirt remains quietly alive; where countless unnamed men and women preserved the organization through war, exile, and the uncertainties of history; where we are reminded that history is written not only through great events, but also through ordinary weekends spent returning to the temple, regular youth gatherings, and the silent vows of devoted leaders whose names may never appear in books.

The Tam Quan of TÂM CHÁNH 2026 therefore does not invite us to retreat into the past. Rather, it helps us understand why we are here today and where our journey must continue.

To pass through this gateway is not merely to enter a camp. It is to enter the seventy-five-year history of Gia Đình Phật Tử Việt Nam, to step into the fifty-year journey of Gia Đình Phật Tử Việt Nam in the United States, and, above all, to recognize that one’s homeland is not merely the place of one’s birth, but the values one willingly chooses to preserve.

For there are homelands that cannot be carried as luggage.

The homeland can only be carried through culture, through ideals, through memory, and through the faithful continuity of one generation to the next.

The Tam Quan of TÂM CHÁNH 2026 has been erected precisely for that reason: that every brother and sister who walks beneath it may quietly remind themselves of one simple truth—

We carry our homeland with us.

Phổ Ái: Trại hè Lục Đạo 2026: Khi tuổi trẻ học cách lắng nghe thiên nhiên và soi chiếu chính mình

 

Giữa những tán cây xanh mát, bên tiếng gió rừng và những con đường đất còn vương hương nắng hè, hơn 165 Huynh trưởng, Đoàn sinh và Phụ huynh Gia Đình Phật Tử Kim Quang đã cùng hội tụ trong Trại hè Lục Đạo 2026. Đó không những là vài ngày sinh hoạt ngoài trời, mà còn là một hành trình trở về với thiên nhiên, với cộng đồng và sâu hơn cả là trở về với chính tâm mình.

Thiên nhiên từ lâu đã là một người thầy thầm lặng của Gia Đình Phật Tử. Dưới bóng rừng, bên dòng suối hay trên khoảng đất trại mộc mạc, con người dễ buông xuống những xô bồ thường nhật để lắng nghe tiếng chim, cảm nhận nhịp thở của đất trời và nhận ra mình là một phần của sự sống rộng lớn. Mỗi chiếc lá, mỗi thân cây, mỗi khoảng trời trong xanh đều nhắc nhở rằng con người chỉ thật sự hạnh phúc khi biết sống hài hòa với môi trường và trân quý những gì thiên nhiên đã âm thầm trao tặng.

Chính trong không gian ấy, chủ đề Lục Đạo của trại hè năm nay trở nên gần gũi và sống động hơn bao giờ hết.

Theo Huynh trưởng Tâm Thường Định, trong buổi chia sẻ Phật pháp qua lời giảng của Thầy Đức Hạnh, đã đưa các em đến với một cách nhìn sâu sắc về giáo lý Lục Đạo. Sáu cõi – Thiên, Nhân, A-tu-la, Súc sinh, Ngạ quỷ và Địa ngục – không chỉ là những cảnh giới tái sinh trong tương lai mà còn là những trạng thái tâm thức hiện diện trong từng phút giây của đời sống.

Có những lúc tâm ta rộng mở, yêu thương và bình an như cõi Trời. Có khi ta biết học hỏi, nhận lỗi và trưởng thành trong trí tuệ như cõi Người. Nhưng cũng có lúc sự ganh tỵ, nóng giận, tham muốn hay vô minh khiến ta bước vào những cõi khổ ngay trong hiện tại.

Thông điệp ấy được nuôi dưỡng bằng ba pháp thực tập giản dị nhưng thiết thực, nghĩa là nuôi dưỡng lòng từ bi, thực tập lòng biết ơn và sống với tinh thần cống hiến. Đó cũng chính là những giá trị mà mỗi hoạt động của trại hè đều hướng đến.

Ở đây, anh chị em cùng dựng lều, nấu ăn, vượt thử thách, chăm sóc khu sinh hoạt, giữ gìn vệ sinh chung và nâng đỡ nhau trong từng công việc nhỏ. Mỗi hành động biết sẻ chia, mỗi lời động viên chân thành hay mỗi bàn tay sẵn sàng giúp bạn đều trở thành những bài học sống động về tình thương và trách nhiệm.

Giữa thiên nhiên, tuổi trẻ cũng học được một bài học quan trọng về môi sinh. Khi biết nhặt một mẩu rác, tiết kiệm nguồn nước, giữ gìn khu rừng sạch đẹp hay trân quý từng khoảng xanh quanh mình, các em đang thực tập lòng biết ơn đối với trái đất – ngôi nhà chung của tất cả muôn loài. Bảo vệ môi trường vì thế không đơn thuần chỉ là một hành động xã hội mà còn là một biểu hiện của chánh niệm và lòng từ bi trong đời sống Phật giáo.

Bấy giờ, giá trị lớn nhất của một trại hè không nằm ở những trò chơi, những phần thưởng hay những tấm hình lưu niệm, mà ở những hạt giống được gieo vào tâm hồn tuổi trẻ. Hạt giống của sự tử tế. Hạt giống của tinh thần cộng tác. Hạt giống của lòng biết ơn và trách nhiệm đối với con người cũng như thiên nhiên.

Khi màn đêm buông xuống giữa núi rừng, ánh lửa trại bừng sáng trong tiếng hát của những tà áo Lam, mỗi người đều cảm nhận rõ hơn rằng hành trình tu học không tách rời cuộc sống. Con đường chuyển hóa bắt đầu từ chính những điều rất nhỏ đó chính là một ý nghĩ thiện lành, một nụ cười bao dung, một việc làm lợi ích và một trái tim biết yêu thương.

Lục Đạo, vì thế, không còn là một khái niệm xa xôi của giáo lý. Đó là tấm gương để mỗi người nhìn lại chính mình trong từng ngày sống. Và giữa thiên nhiên bao la của mùa hè, hơn 165 Lam viên Kim Quang đã cùng nhau học một bài học giản dị nhưng sâu sắc: xây dựng một thế giới an lành không bắt đầu từ nơi nào khác, mà bắt đầu từ việc kiến tạo một cõi bình an ngay trong chính tâm mình.

The Six Realms Summer Camp 2026:
Where Youth Learn to Listen to Nature and Look Deeply Within

Beneath the shade of towering trees, accompanied by the whispers of the forest breeze and the warmth of the summer sun along rustic woodland paths, more than 165 leaders, youth members, and parents of Kim Quang Buddhist Youth Family gathered for The Six Realms Summer Camp 2026. More than simply a few days of outdoor activities, the camp became a journey back to nature, back to community, and, most importantly, back to one’s own heart.

Nature has long been a silent teacher within the Buddhist Youth Family. Surrounded by forests, streams, and the simplicity of camp life, participants found themselves letting go of the distractions of everyday life, listening to birdsong, breathing with the rhythm of the earth, and rediscovering that they are an inseparable part of a much larger web of life. Every leaf, every tree, and every open sky gently reminded them that genuine happiness arises when we live in harmony with the environment and cherish the gifts that nature quietly offers.

Within such a setting, this year’s camp theme, The Six Realms, came vividly to life.

According to Brother Tâm Thường Định, in a Dharma talk based on the teachings of Venerable Đức Hạnh, participants were invited to contemplate the profound meaning of the Six Realms. The Heavenly Realm, the Human Realm, the Asura Realm, the Animal Realm, the Hungry Ghost Realm, and the Hell Realm are not merely destinations awaiting beings after death; they are also states of mind that arise and disappear within each of us throughout our daily lives.

There are moments when our hearts are open, peaceful, and filled with loving-kindness, reflecting the Heavenly Realm. At other times, we cultivate wisdom by learning, acknowledging our mistakes, and striving to become better people, embodying the Human Realm. Yet there are also moments when jealousy, anger, craving, or ignorance lead us into realms of suffering here and now.

The central message of the Dharma talk was expressed through three simple yet transformative practices: cultivating compassion, practicing gratitude, and living with a spirit of contribution. These principles became the guiding values woven throughout every aspect of the camp experience.

Throughout the camp, participants pitched tents together, prepared meals, embraced challenges, cared for their shared environment, maintained the campsite, and supported one another through countless small acts of kindness. Every helping hand, every word of encouragement, and every gesture of generosity became a living lesson in compassion, responsibility, and community.

Immersed in nature, the young participants also discovered an important lesson about environmental stewardship. Picking up a piece of litter, conserving water, protecting the forest, and appreciating every green space became expressions of gratitude toward the Earth—our shared home. Caring for the environment, therefore, is far more than a civic responsibility; it is a mindful practice and a natural expression of Buddhist compassion.

Ultimately, the greatest value of a summer camp is not found in games, awards, or memorable photographs, but in the seeds quietly planted within young hearts—the seeds of kindness, cooperation, gratitude, and responsibility toward both humanity and the natural world.

As night descended over the forest and the campfire illuminated the gathering of blue-shirted youth, everyone sensed more deeply that Buddhist practice is never separate from everyday life. The path of transformation begins with the smallest of actions: a wholesome thought, a compassionate smile, a helpful deed, and a heart willing to love.

The Six Realms, therefore, are no longer distant concepts confined to Buddhist teachings. They become a mirror through which each person may look deeply into his or her own mind every single day. Amid the vast beauty of nature, the 165 members of Kim Quang Buddhist Youth Family shared a simple yet profound lesson: a peaceful world does not begin somewhere else—it begins with cultivating a peaceful realm within our own hearts.

Tâm Thường Định: GĐPT Thiện Tâm tổ chức Lễ Húy nhật lần thứ 15 Anh Cả Minh Dũng – Phú Toàn Cương và Họp mặt truyền thống các thế hệ

 

SAN JOSE, California – Chiều Chủ nhật, ngày 19 tháng 7 năm 2026, tại Seven Trees Community Center, Gia Đình Phật Tử Thiện Tâm đã trang nghiêm tổ chức Lễ Húy nhật lần thứ 15 của Anh Cả Minh Dũng – Phú Toàn Cương, Sáng lập viên và Đệ nhất Gia trưởng GĐPT Thiện Tâm; đồng thời cử hành Lễ Hiệp Kỵ chư tiền bối hữu công, Lam viên quá cố và Họp mặt truyền thống các thế hệ Huynh trưởng, Đoàn sinh của đơn vị.

Buổi lễ diễn ra trong không khí trang nghiêm, ấm tình Lam và thấm đượm tinh thần tri ân – báo ân, với sự quang lâm chứng minh của Chư Tôn Đức Tăng Ni, cùng sự hiện diện của quý Huynh trưởng Niên trưởng, đại diện các đơn vị Gia Đình Phật Tử bạn, đại diện các hội đoàn tại San Jose, quý phụ huynh và đông đảo cựu Huynh trưởng, Đoàn sinh GĐPT Thiện Tâm qua nhiều thế hệ.

Đây là lần đầu tiên GĐPT Thiện Tâm tổ chức ngày tưởng niệm Anh Cả Minh Dũng kết hợp với Lễ Hiệp Kỵ và Họp mặt truyền thống trên quy mô toàn diện, đánh dấu cột mốc 43 năm hình thành và phát triển của đơn vị. Sự kiện không riêng là dịp để tưởng nhớ công hạnh của người khai sáng mà còn là dịp để các thế hệ Lam viên cùng nhau trở về, ôn lại những ký ức thân thương và tiếp tục thắp sáng lý tưởng phụng sự trong màu áo Lam.

Trong mạch nguồn của hơn bốn thập niên, GĐPT Thiện Tâm đã trở thành mái nhà chung của biết bao thế hệ thanh thiếu nhi Phật tử tại vùng Bắc California. Hình ảnh cố huynh trưởng Minh Dũng – Phú Toàn Cương, với tâm nguyện kiến lập và nuôi dưỡng đơn vị từ những ngày đầu, vẫn luôn là nguồn cảm hứng và điểm tựa tinh thần đối với các thế hệ kế thừa. Mười lăm năm sau ngày Anh viên tịch, công hạnh ấy vẫn được tiếp nối bằng chính sự trưởng thành, đoàn kết và tinh thần phụng sự của những người con Áo Lam hôm nay.

Điểm đặc biệt của buổi họp mặt năm nay là sự hiện diện của nhiều thế hệ Huynh trưởng và Đoàn sinh, từ những Lam viên gắn bó với đơn vị từ buổi đầu thành lập cho đến lớp đoàn sinh trẻ đang tiếp nối sứ mệnh giáo dục của tổ chức. Những cái bắt tay, những câu chuyện cũ được nhắc lại và những tấm hình lưu niệm đã góp phần tạo nên một không gian đầy cảm xúc, nơi quá khứ và hiện tại cùng gặp nhau trong tinh thần “một ngày Lam, trọn đời Lam”.

Phát biểu tại buổi lễ, đại diện Ban Tổ chức cho biết sự kiện năm nay được kỳ vọng sẽ trở thành một truyền thống tốt đẹp, tạo nên nhịp cầu kết nối giữa các thế hệ, đồng thời khẳng định sức sống lâu bền của lý tưởng Gia Đình Phật Tử Việt Nam trong bối cảnh xã hội đương đại.

Khép lại chương trình, đại chúng đã cùng nhất tâm cầu nguyện cho giác linh cố huynh trưởng Minh Dũng – Phú Toàn Cương, chư tiền bối hữu công và toàn thể Lam viên quá cố được cao đăng Phật quốc; đồng thời nguyện cầu hồng ân Tam Bảo gia hộ Chư Tôn Đức pháp thể khinh an, quý quan khách và Lam viên thân tâm thường an lạc, tiếp tục đồng hành trên con đường phụng sự đạo pháp và dân tộc.

Lễ Húy nhật lần thứ 15 của Anh Cả Minh Dũng và Họp mặt truyền thống các thế hệ GĐPT Thiện Tâm đã khép lại trong niềm xúc động và tin tưởng. Từ cuộc hội ngộ đầu tiên mang ý nghĩa lịch sử này, một hành trình mới đã được mở ra – hành trình của sự tiếp nối, của ký ức được gìn giữ và của lý tưởng Áo Lam được trao truyền cho những thế hệ mai sau.

SAN JOSE, California – On Sunday afternoon, July 19, 2026, at Seven Trees Community Center, Gia Đình Phật Tử Thiện Tâm (Thiện Tâm Vietnamese Buddhist Youth Association) solemnly held the 15th memorial ceremony honoring Senior Leader Minh Dũng – Phú Toàn Cương, Founder and First Family Director of the organization. The event also included a memorial service for departed predecessors and Lam members, as well as a traditional reunion gathering of generations of Thiện Tâm leaders and members.

The ceremony was conducted in an atmosphere of dignity, fraternity, and gratitude, with the presence of the Sangha, senior Huynh trưởng (Scout Leaders), representatives from fellow Gia Đình Phật Tử units, community organizations in San Jose, parents, and numerous former leaders and members of Gia Đình Phật Tử Thiện Tâm spanning several generations.

This marked the first time that Gia Đình Phật Tử Thiện Tâm has organized the memorial observance for Senior Leader Minh Dũng in conjunction with the Memorial Service for departed predecessors and an intergenerational reunion on such a comprehensive scale, commemorating the organization’s 43 years of continuity and service. The occasion served not only as an opportunity to honor the legacy of its founder, but also as a meaningful homecoming for generations of Lam members to reconnect, revisit cherished memories, and reaffirm their commitment to the ideals embodied by the Lam uniform.

For more than four decades, Gia Đình Phật Tử Thiện Tâm has served as a spiritual and educational home for countless Vietnamese Buddhist youth throughout Northern California. The image of the late Senior Leader Minh Dũng – Phú Toàn Cương, whose vision and dedication nurtured the organization from its earliest days, continues to inspire and guide succeeding generations. Fifteen years after his passing, his legacy lives on through the growth, unity, and spirit of service exemplified by today’s Lam members.

One of the most memorable aspects of this year’s gathering was the reunion of multiple generations of leaders and members—from those who helped establish the organization in its formative years to the younger members who are now carrying forward its educational mission. Warm handshakes, shared reminiscences, and commemorative photographs helped create an atmosphere where past and present converged in the enduring spirit of “Once a Lam member, always a Lam member.”

In remarks delivered during the event, representatives of the Organizing Committee expressed their hope that this gathering would become a cherished tradition, serving as a bridge between generations while affirming the enduring vitality of the ideals of Gia Đình Phật Tử Việt Nam within contemporary society.

As the program concluded, the assembly joined in prayer for the late Senior Leader Minh Dũng – Phú Toàn Cương, departed predecessors, and all deceased Lam members, wishing them rebirth in the Pure Land. Prayers were also offered for the continued well-being of the Sangha and for all guests and Lam members to enjoy peace, good health, and steadfastness on the path of service to Buddhism and the Vietnamese community.

The 15th Memorial Ceremony for Senior Leader Minh Dũng and the Intergenerational Reunion of Gia Đình Phật Tử Thiện Tâm concluded in an atmosphere of heartfelt emotion and renewed confidence. From this historic gathering, a new chapter has begun—one of continuity, remembrance, and the transmission of the Lam spirit to generations yet to come.
