TRĂNG ĐỒI TRẠI THỦY
Nhớ Thầy Phước An
Trăng về Đồi Trại Thủy,
Núi lặng giữa sương khuya.
Chuông ngân qua phố biển,
Bao tiếng vọng vỗ về
Phật ngồi yên thế kỷ,
Mây trắng đến rồi đi.
Bao tiền nhân như đã,
Hiện rõ dũng-trí-bi.
Thềm đá rêu còn đợi,
Dấu chân người đã xa.
Bồ đề lay bóng nguyệt,
Sương lạnh đẫm hiên già.
Ai lên đồi năm cũ,
Ai xuống giữa phù sinh?
Một hồi chuông chợt tỉnh,
Nghe biển thở trong mình.
Trăng vẫn ngời Trại Thủy,
Chuông vẫn loãng hư không.
Ta về không một vật
Mà đầy cả mênh mông.

MOON OVER TRẠI THỦY HILL
In Remembrance of Thầy Phước An
The moon returns to Trại Thủy Hill,
The mountain rests in midnight mist.
Temple bells drift across the coastal town
Their echoes tenderly console.
The Buddha sits through centuries,
While white clouds come and pass by.
Ancient ones, as though still present,
Shine forth in courage, wisdom, compassion.
Moss-covered steps are still awaiting;
The footprints have long disappeared.
Bodhi leaves stir beneath the moon,
Cold dew settles on the aging eaves.
Who climbed this hill in years gone by?
Who descended into this fleeting life?
A sudden toll awakens the heart
I hear the ocean breathe within.
The moon still shines on Trại Thủy Hill,
The bell dissolves into emptiness.
I return, possessing nothing
Yet filled with all immensity.
