Mr. Bach's Chemistry STUDY GUIDE FOR FINAL EXAM
THINGS THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR THE FINAL - SPRING SEMESTER
(15% of total grade)
- Students can use the periodic table, a 5-8 “cheat sheet”, a scientific calculator, and the ion sheet on the final exam.
- There will be about 150 multiple choice questions.
- Your final grade will be posted by Friday of the final week.
Chapter 10 – MODERN ATOMIC THEORY AND THE PERIODIC TALBE
a. Know who discover what and the methods
b. How to write atomic structure and its calculations: Atomic #, Atomic mass, etc
c. Isotopes of Element and calculating the atomic mass of an element
Suggested problems: Review questions 1-15 all
Chapter 11: CHEMICAL BONDS
a. Different types of Chemical Bondings
b. Be able to identify, differentiate, and draw
Suggested problems: Paired exercise 1 to 31odds.
Chapter 12: THE GASEOUS STATES OF MATTER
a. Different phase of water, phase diagrams, etc...
Suggested problems: first 15 review questions 1-9all. Do putting it together.
Chapter 13: WATER AND PROPERTIES OF LIQUID
a. Know the properties of substances, physical and chemical change
b. Know the conservation of mass and its energy involved
c. Know the quantitative measurement of heat. Know how to calculate heat and heat capacity.
