Congratulations message to Gautam Buddha University
on the International Webinar on Global Well Being and the Tenets of Ancient Indian Traditions with reference to Buddhism

Dear respected Dr. Arvind Singh and the community of Gautam Buddha University,

It is a great honor to be asked to send this congratulatory message on the International Webinar on Global Well Being and the Tenets of Ancient Indian Traditions with reference to Buddhism scheduled on July 9-11, 2020.

This virtual international conference is organized by the University School of Buddhist Studies & Civilization, Gautam Buddha University, in collaboration with Vietnam Buddhist University in the city of Hue (Vietnam), Dhammaduta Chekinda University (Myanmar), Swami Vivekan, and Cultural Centre (Sri Lanka).

As one of the first international guest speakers for the first international conference at Gautam Buddha University, I was able to see firsthand that GBU is a very unique, calming, and beautiful campus with great missions and visions. It was a splendid event in terms of intellectual quality, social engagement, and social gratification, and I believe this conference will be just the same, if not even more splendid.

GBU's emphasis on the eight schools within the university and Buddhist programs are a great contribution to Indian society. With this third international conference, this time online due to Covid-19, I congratulate you, Dr. Singh, for your leadership and dedication to the program and conferences. I would like to congratulate the GBU community and its collaborators in Vietnam, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka for such a wonderful and needed conference during this time of crisis. The conference could not have been possible without your hard work, passion, and determination. Thank you and congratulations.

May the teachings of the Buddha on love, compassion, inclusiveness, wisdom, and healing continue to spread in the world.

Namo tassa bhagavato arahato samma sambuddhassa
Homage to Him, the Holy One, the Pure One, the Fully Enlightened One.
Phe Bach, Ed.D.
