A Tribute to Tim Sullivan
Tim Sullivan, a teacher with a great passion, mind, and heart
Who inspired many others to become amazing students and teachers, themselves
His whole life was working hard and contributing to the Mira Loma community
as if it was his own family.
So profoundly
A wonderful and dedicated educator
His booming voice was the bell--waking us up to engage and produce
His smiles were contagious and timing
His passion for history, politics, and education were none to compare
Even in his sick bed at Kaiser, his irritation towards the current administration about immigration made him jump out of his bed.
He laughed, we laughed, and I reminded him to take deep breaths
Everything is just temporary and impermanent.
Only our actions, thoughts, and merits live on
The last time we met
He was excited about the new building and couldn't wait to see it
And just like that he passed away peacefully at home
Life is short and we need to embrace it.
Tim, you are an amazing educator and colleague.
You will be missed so very much around here
Much love and tears
Yet your passion, wisdom, and care live on
and far beyond
Now Rest In Peace, Tim.
May you be at ease, free of suffering, and happy at last
May all of us be safe, well, and at ease
