REFLECTIONS
Presented by the Buddhists at the Jade Buddha for Universal Peace Exhibition organized by the Vietnamese Buddhist Community in Northern California.
Namo Sakya Muni Buddha
Dear the Most Venerable Sangha,
Distinguished Guests,
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Today in the sacred tranquility of Kim Quang Temple, with the permission of the Organizing Committee, on behalf of the Buddhists and volunteers, I would like to express our reflections on this event.
The Jade Buddha for Universal Peace is a masterpiece and a holy symbol, which brings peace to the world. That is the dream of all human beings. We feel very lucky that we had this golden chance to pay homage to the Jade Buddha as well as contributed our small part to the success of this significant event during this short period of time.
Actually, we were deeply moved to see young children and elderly people coming here and worshiping the Jade statue of Sakya Muni Buddha. We also feel proud that the event has introduced the universal peace and the beauty as well as values of Buddhism to Americans.
We are very happy to see the solidarity and cooperation of all the Venerable Sanghas during the event. This has strengthened our strong belief in the Dharma and in the constant growth of Buddhism.
Finally, we would like to express our deep gratitude to all the Venerable Sangha members and the Organizing Committee for giving us a chance to come here, to pay homage to the Jade statue of Sakya Muni Buddha and to reflect our learning of the Dharma and our services to Buddhism. We would also like to thank all the people who have been working hard, directly or indirectly, and contributing financially and/or spiritually, to bring this event to a great success.
Namo Sakya Muni Buddha.
